one word.

i found a new favorite website, one word. i spend hours on it everyday. it makes me happy.
basically it's a site where you press a button, and they give you a word. you then have sixty seconds to write down whatever comes to your mind. after the sixty seconds are up, you submit it and read what other people wrote about the word. i really like reading what other people say about the words, and i'm getting better at easily coming up with ideas to write about. maybe i'll share on of mine sometime.. but not today.

i like to pretend i'm my sister..

a few weeks ago, my older sister sue and my cousin cait got together and made envelopes and notes out of old magazines. when i saw it i wanted to make some really badly. so last night, that's just what me and my friend kelsey did. i think they turned out really neat. i'm excited for my friends to receive them in the mail and get all excited and whatnot.

the top envelope is my favorite..

the back of them

we made a ton. and they make me very happy.

i wish i thought more like this every day of my life..

also i'm very sorry i haven't been posting, my laptop broke again. but my amazing daddy fixed it, so i'm content again.

donut day.

you all probably forgot i had a live list, didn't ya? have no fear, i did something else off of it! so you'll probably hear of a few more over the next few days, while i'm in a live list kick. then you'll forget again. and that's how this is going to go down from here on out.

monday, me and my sister sue decided to make donuts. i got pretty excited because i've wanted to do this for a while now, and it sounded so good. so we started the long process of making donuts.

you start with the dough.
you make donut shapes out of them.
you let them rise, then you cook them.
then you have the choice of coating them with sugar.
or glazing them.
they both taste amazing. i think the sugar coated one is better though.
and then you happily eat your donuts in peace, with a nice cup of malk, and your best friend.

letterpress cards.

i kinda love these cards. they're really cute.
Enjoy.

california.

i definitely needed that trip.
i was about to explode of stress.
then i went to california.
it was sunny, blissful, and pretty.
i enjoyed every minute of it.
even when the other girls started being mean.
i still loved it.
for once, my coach wasn't yelling.
she was proud we took first.
i felt good about myself.
i had fun.
i got burned. badly.
it still felt nice.
i ate junk food. it tasted heavenly.
i didn't work out a single day.
even though i should have.
i rarely got ready.
i knew no one there cared if i did or not.
i sat in the hot tub for hours.
my body slowly relaxed.
my body finally stopped hurting.
except my sunburn.
but that was what i wanted.
so no complaints.
and no regrets.

tryout week, bring it on.

you seem quite right for a girl like me

i have no idea why, but today i was just so happy.

it might be that my favorite girl EMILY won the bachelor yesterday!

maybe because i found a song i'm in love with, that describes my current feelings, and won't get out of my head all in one. ( it's hard for me to get those, so it's a good day when i do)

it could be because today we did our routine close to perfect today in cheer. cali, here we come. (THREE DAYS!)

or maybe it's because i had an amazing time at the brave's soccer game... hahaa. (25 4 life.)

then again, it could be from making a fool of myself in the choir concert with katie and summerlin.. i'm still sorry!!

if it's not one of those, it must be because i got my braces off today:

finally! sweet, slimy teeth, i promise i will never barricade you with ugly braces ever again.

p.s. the title isn't the song i discovered today, i just love that one also.

10.3.11

one happy camper.

-today i started a new "themed" journal. doesn't starting new journals just make you happy? it sure hits the spot for me.

-i changed my attitude towards my friends. i felt bad that i was always telling them about my problems, probably being very annoying. so i changed my attitude. i started complimenting them, talking about their life, not mine, and just smiling around them. so far it has produced great results. we are all much happier. weird, how much influence one person can have on an entire group. weird in a good way.

- this week i started my extra hard workout schedule, to prepare for california. i'm very happy to say, that after four days, i'm not as tired as i was last week since i started this new workout. i'm also happier with myself for achieving my goals i set. i just hope i can keep it up right until cali next friday. its gonna be a blast and a half.

-be prepared to hear me brag... my best friend kaleb played his first soccer game as a brave on wednesday. sophomores never play on varsity, and if they do, it's usually for about 3 minutes. kaleb played half the game. and their games are eighty minutes long (2 forty minute quarters, for those of you who aren't soccer savvy). now tell me he isn't amazing at soccer. i dare you. he's kinda the reason i wanted to get healthier, so i could keep up with him when we play sports for fun in the summer.

- cheer tryouts are two weeks from tomorrow, and i am so pumped for them. its gonna be so fun getting a new team, and becoming just as close with them as i am with my current team. i also love change, so its getting really exciting for me.

- going along with cheer, the california trip is coming up. i'm so excited for it. i really need a break from everything, and california sounds like a very good place to be right now. it will be a much needed vacation. my body is about to break everywhere, and i'm hoping the sun rays will just put me back together. and give me a nice tan so all the white children at bountiful high will be jealous when i return.

-i'm very happy with my life, despite all my aches and pains. i've learned to live with them, cause life is much more fun when you only care about the good things in it.

6.3.11

and there it goes

after a ton of debate,
i finally decided what sport i'm doing next year.
i'm gonna do cheer again.
i know at times its really hard,
and i feel like i'm not getting anywhere,
but it's those times i'm just gonna push a little harder
and enjoy it where i am.
and hopefully everything will work out for the best.

p.s. my amazing friend and crazy blog follower is gonna make it too. i can tell.

20.2.11

random scenario for the average teenage girl.

scenario:

it's saturday night, and your two best friends have ditched you for guys. everyone else you text doesn't reply. you've been home all day and you're sick of it. what do you do?

answer:

go see the eagle with your sister!

what an obvious answer. now tell me, by looking at the picture, do you see why i went?
another obvious answer. channing tatum's in it! doesn't get much better than that!
plus, the movie plot was really good. after the movie, my sister pointed out to me that it has been the first good movie we've seen in a long time that didn't have some kind of love story in it, not even in the background. how weird is that? and i guess it was a little bloody, but i didn't really notice. i loved how suspenseful it was. my only complaint with it was that channing tatum only took his shirt off in one of the scenes. i mean who has channing tatum star in a movie and doesn't make him take his shirt off at least six times in it? oh well, it was still an awesome show. and now i am done telling you about channing tatum. for now.

6.2.11

happy birthday kawob!!

i finally got to another thing on my live list... shove cake into someone's face for their birthday! i chose to shove cake into kaleb's face:) how nice of a girlfriend am i? i'm thinking pretty nice. at least i didn't shove the ice cream in his face too.. haha:)

background: today is kaleb's SIXTEENTH birthday. basically means we can officially go out on dates. cause we have enough money as teenagers that we can do that every weekend. right. it also means he can drive! that's a very good thing, now he can play with me longer without his mom having to worry about it! yay!

now back to the live list:
the pictures look horrible because we took them with his cell phone. so... yeah.

this is us before the cake:

this is me shoving the cake in his face:

doesn't that just look so fun? :)

1.2.11

influence.

i think i figured out why i hate cheer so much.
i think it's because all of my close friends think i do it for fun,
and that i don't love it.
thats not true. i feel the happiest when i land my tumbling by myself,
and know that most of the stupid boys at my school
that make fun, of me could never do what i do.

my friends never come to support me in any of it,
not even the competitions, which are really scary for me.
i feel like i need them to be there, to help me not be so scared.

they also talk bad about the other girls on my team.
it makes me unhappy, cause i love the girls on my team.
we've gone through a lot of hard things together.

all my friends do is tell me how hard their sport is.
do they think that what i do is easy?
cause it's not. its the hardest thing i've ever done.
and the reaction from every one in school makes it
about a million times harder.

its one thing to not like a sport,
but to exile them cause they're not the drill team?
cheerleading is nothing like drill,
so why do they compare us so much?

my friends have kinda made me stop liking it.
which has made me start noticing the bad things about it
which has led to my decision of not doing it next year.
which is kinda sad, because i was starting to get really good at it.
just goes to show, your friends really do influence you.

29.1.11

survival 101

i decided today that i would never be able to survive without my family. end of story.

actually, i'll tell you the story.

today i was driving the truck in centerville and i got a flat tire. i was parked in the dick's parking lot, and let me tell ya, it was freaking me out. i got my mom some groceries, and came out to the truck, to find a flat on the back tire. i went to get a closer look, and their was a nail stuck in it. my first thought was that someone was very rude to stick a nail in my tire. my second thought was that whoever did it was probably watching me, and knew that i was all alone. that led to thoughts of it's probably a creepy pedophile. he's gonna come smash my window and kidnap me. why are my doors not locked? why haven't i called my mom to ask her what to do yet?

at that point, i called my mom. once i got off the phone with her, i started looking around, to see if anyone was near me. i noticed four teenage boys standing close together, all of them whispering and staring at me. and that's when i decide it was them. after a little while of thinking they were gonna come harass me(they never did), i started suspecting the guy handling the carts. i suspected him because he didn't have a name tag on. can you see how that led me to believe he didn't work there? plus, he only came out of the store twice, and both times he only went to the cart holding place right next to my truck. coincidence? i thought not! i decide my mom should get here soon, i was running out of people to suspect. and sure enough, she came as i was thinking that.

when my mom and brother got there, all we did was pump up the tire, then jordan got in the truck with me to drive to the tire place. i was telling him about my suspects, and he disagreed. he said that the other day he noticed the tire was losing air, he just hadn't thought to pump it up, or that something was stuck in it. that kinda shattered my thoughts of a pedophile or a gang hitting up my truck, but that's fine with me. it means it wasn't my fault.

and that is why i'm not gonna survive without my family. i also really dislike vacuuming, so my apartment is gonna be horrible when i move out, and i'll have to learn to do that too.

23.1.11

something to make you laugh.

just a little something that makes me laugh.
